SCOPE – Student Chapter of Optics and Photonics

During my undergraduate studies in Barranquilla, Colombia, I was an active member and treasurer of SCOPE (Student Chapter of Optics and Photonics at Universidad del Atlántico), affiliated with Optica Worldwide and SPIE. The chapter’s mission was to promote science outreach on topics of societal relevance within optics and photonics. In this role, I contributed by emphasizing applications in astronomy and cosmology, helping to engage the community and inspire interest in the universe through the lens of modern science.
